Privacy policy: Jira Export ZIP

We do not collect information. Jira Export ZIP has no servers, no analytics and no tracking. Everything it does happens inside your own browser.

What the extension does

Jira Export ZIP adds an "Export ZIP" entry to the issue actions menu on Jira Cloud sites (*.atlassian.net). When you click it, the extension reads the issue and its direct subtasks, converts them to Markdown and saves them as a ZIP file on your computer.

Data the extension handles

• Jira content: issue fields (summary, description, status, assignee, labels, links, attachment links) and comments of the issue you export and its direct subtasks. This can include names and other personal data that is present in Jira.
• Where it comes from: read-only requests to the Jira site you are already on, using your existing Jira session. The extension never asks for or sees your password.
• Where it goes: into the ZIP file your browser saves for you. The data is kept in memory only for the duration of the export.

What the extension does not do

• Sending data: nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party. The only network requests go to the Jira site you are exporting from.
• Storing data: the extension does not use browser storage, cookies or any other persistent storage.
• Tracking: no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, advertising or fingerprinting.
• Remote code: all code ships with the extension. Nothing is downloaded or executed from elsewhere.
• Selling or sharing: there is no data to sell or share.

Your exported files

The ZIP file is saved to your computer like any other download. From that moment it is under your control, so handle it according to the rules that apply to the Jira content it contains (e.g. your organization's data policies).

Permissions

The extension only runs on https://*.atlassian.net/* pages (Confluence pages under /wiki excluded). It needs this access to add the menu entry and to read the issues you choose to export. It requests no other permissions.

Changes to this policy

If the extension ever changes in a way that affects this policy, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
